Grand Jury Seeks Citizen to Serve as Chief Registrar of the Forsyth County Board of Registrations and Elections The November (adjourn) Term of the Grand Jury of Forsyth County will be charged with the responsibility of providing recommendations for appointment of a chief registrar following the expiration of the term of Barbara Luth, the current chief registrar. The Forsyth County Board of Registrations and Elections is responsible for the general supervision of, and the direct administration of, the affairs of the Board of Registrars. The chief registrar acts as chairperson of the Board of Registrations and Elections and, as chief registrar, shall perform those functions normally devolving upon the chairperson. The Board of Registrations and Elections is empowered with all the powers and duties relating to the registration of voters and absentee balloting procedures. Any citizen of Forsyth County who is a judicious, intelligent, and upright elector of Forsyth County is eligible for appointment as chief registrar.
